A total of 13 investment projects in eastern Placer County amounting to more than $14 million were directed to move forward Monday by the Placer County Board of Supervisors to advance regional goals including workforce housing and improved transportation.
Revenue from Tahoe’s transient occupancy tax is being used to fund the projects, which were solicited, vetted and recommended through the North Tahoe Community Alliance Board of Directors, the TOT committee and the Capital Projects Advisory Committee. READ MORE

Tahoe's bulky item drop-off event set for Nov. 4
Placer County is holding a FREE bulky item drop-off event Saturday, Nov. 4. This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of all of those unwanted items cluttering up your home and yard.
The event is open to all Placer County residents, and you can drop off items like furniture, appliances and more. Mark you calendars and don’t miss out on this program.
