The Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) is available to help Placer County businesses and residents affected by the Mosquito Fire apply for low-interest federal disaster loans.
Physical damage, economic injury and home disaster are among the types of loans available to Mosquito Fire victims. You can learn more about eligibility and loan terms through the SBA's disaster loan fact sheet.
It is very important for applicants to initiate an SBA application to ensure recovery options by the June 5, 2023, deadline. The Economic Injury deadline is January 4, 2024. You can read more about the three steps of SBA Disaster Assistance Loans (applying, application processing, and loan closure & disbursement) here. Staff at the DLOC can assist with the application process. The DLOC is located in the Roseville Plaza at 415 Roseville Square, Roseville, CA 95678, and will remain open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Tuesday, April 18th, at 6 p.m.

The Sierra Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has experienced staff that specialize in property loss and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs). To learn more about the disaster loan application process through the SBDC, contact their office at 530.582.5022 or info@sierrasbdc.com.
Businesses can also visit the SBDC website and select SIGN UP to become a registered, confidential client with ALL things small business, including economic injury, recovery and growth.

Placer County businesses are now eligible for disaster assistance from the Small Businesses Association in the form of low-interest loans. SBA provides eligible small businesses with working capital to help overcome economic injury due to a declared disaster.
Small non-farm businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture and most private nonprofit organization of any size may qualify for Economic Injury Disaster Loans of up to $2 million to help meet financial obligations and operating expenses, which could have been realized had the disaster not occurred. Businesses primarily engaged in farming or ranching are not eligible for SBA disaster assistance. The deadline to apply for economic injury is Nov. 17, 2023.
Recently, U.S. SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman announced a policy change granting 12 months of no payments and 0% interest. This pertains to all disaster loans approved in response to disasters declared on or after September 21, 2022, through September 30, 2023.
