Free COVID testing available in Roseville & Truckee

Free COVID-19 testing is available weekdays, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., in Roseville at the Maidu Activity Center at 1960 Johnson Ranch Drive and Truckee at the Old Gateway Center at 10990 Donner Pass Road (closed Dec. 24 & 31). Appointments can be scheduled online at https://lhi.care/start - walk-in appointments are welcome, too. Test results should be made available within 24-48 hours. Rapid testing is not available at this time. Home rapid tests are available at local retailers, such as pharmacies, while supplies last. Schedule appointment

Holidays often include indulgent cooking - like bacon. Don’t forget Fats, Oils and Grease (FOG) cause clogs! Save your pipes and cease the grease! Collect your cooled FOG in a sealable, recyclable container and toss it in the trash, not down the drain. Learn more


Holiday service schedule for Placer County Transit 🚌

Commuter service will not operate on Friday, Dec. 24, and Friday, Dec. 31. Placer County Transit and Dial-A-Ride service will also not be available on Saturday, Dec. 25, and Saturday, January 1. As of Oct. 9, 2021, Placer County Transit and Dial-a-Ride services returned to regular service hours allowing passengers the flexibility to use services earlier into the morning and later into the evening. To preserve critical infrastructure that serves all, including hospitals, on Aug. 25, Placer County Public Health issued a warning advising residents regardless of vaccination status to use high-quality masks in indoor public settings to protect against the Delta variant.
