Placer holds successful donation drive for military care packages

Ladies in red

In honor of Veterans Day, the Placer County Human Resources Department recently hosted its annual Military Care Packages Donation Drive in partnership with Sacramento Blue Star Moms. This year, they deployed 12 donation stations at various county offices from South Placer to North Lake Tahoe, and Team Placer delivered! Thanks to employee kindness and generosity, several cars were needed to load up the treats for our troops. Here at Placer County we greatly appreciate our military service members and are thankful for their faithful service to our country. Check out our pictures from the donation drive!

🌧️ Drive safe in the rainy weather! 🌧️

Drive safe

With the rainy season upon us, it is important to stay safe and be careful while driving in the rain. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to maintain a safe distance between cars, slow down for turns, avoid heavy braking and keep an eye out for large puddles. As a reminder, it is California law to have your headlights on if your windshield wipers are on. Stay safe and dry! View driving safety tips
