Placer County Public Health has been selected by the Alzheimer's Association and the National Association of County and City Health Officials for a new grant to expand on the existing Healthy Brain Initiative - one of eight counties nationwide and the only in California to receive this grant. The funding will be used to create a committee to improve early Alzheimer's detection and screening efforts in the county. Learn more

California State Treasurer Fiona Ma joined North Lake Tahoe officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony today to celebrate the opening of 288 new affordable and workforce housing units at five locations throughout the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee region.
