In Memoriam

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and fellow service members of the 13 U.S. service members lost Aug. 26 in the bombing attack at the Kabul airport. One of those is our hometown hero, Roseville native and U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole (Herrera) Gee, 23, pictured above. The City of Roseville hosted a memorial observance for Sgt. Herrera earlier this week, available to watch online here.

California fully reopened the economy on June 15. Everyday life will feel a lot like before COVID-19. Restaurants, shopping malls, movie theaters, and most everyday places will be open as normal with no capacity limits or social distancing required. This does not apply to schools, health care settings and some other public settings. See the latest state COVID-19 guidance for more.

Local COVID-19 information will continue to be available on the Public Health website, including a roundup of upcoming community vaccine clinics.
