Placer County Newsletter - 2021 Wildfire Edition

wildfire stats

According to our Placer County Fire Department / CAL FIRE NEU, California is experiencing a significant increase in the number of wildfires and acres burned compared to this time last year. In fact, the number of acres burned is nearly 700% more than this time last year. With this rise in fire activity, now more than ever it's critical that all Californians prepare for wildfires. This week marks the start of Wildfire Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to ensure your home has defensible space, that you've hardened your home against embers and that you have an evacuation plan in place.
