Veteran

The Veterans Services Office promotes the interest and welfare of veterans, their dependents and their survivors through counseling, education, benefits assistance and advocacy. We connect veterans to their benefits by assisting in their interactions with the Department of Veterans Affairs and hope to make easier the process of applying for benefits.

Potential beekeeping ordinance update in Placer County 🐝

The Placer County agricultural commissioner is hosting a public workshop to receive community feedback on a proposed update to the county’s beekeeping ordinance. The update would include distance requirements for beehives from property lines, the allowance of residential single-family zoning, regulations on spacing between beehives and more. Learn more

North Tahoe winter parking restrictions in effect

Snow removal sign

Winter parking restrictions around the greater North Lake Tahoe area are in effect until May 1, 2021. Parking along roadway shoulders during this time is prohibited to avoid damage to parked vehicles and snow removal equipment, as well as prevent delays to snow removal operations. Learn more
