Honoring National Police Week

Police Week graphic

Since 1962, National Police Week has paid special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. The blue lights in the Placer County Sheriff’s Office rotunda have been on this week to honor fallen peace officers in the United States. The county lowered our flags today in honor of National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day.
