New COVID-19 testing sites open in Roseville and Kings Beach

New COVID-19 testing sites are accepting appointments today in Kings Beach and Roseville. An additional site is planned for Grass Valley in neighboring Nevada County. Visit https://lhi.care/covidtesting (or call 1-888-634-1123 during business hours) to see if you are eligible for a test and make an appointment. In Kings Beach, the North Tahoe Event Center will serve as the testing site. In Roseville, At The Grounds will serve as the testing site.
**NOTE: If you experience difficulties making an appointment using the OptumServe website on a mobile device, please try making an appointment via a desktop computer. We are working with OptumServe to resolve issues. OptumServe has also informed the county that they are in the process of updating test screening criteria on the website.
Annual budget review slated for tomorrow's Board of Supervisors meeting
Our annual budget review is taking place during tomorrow's Board of Supervisors meeting. Residents are encouraged to weigh in and provide their comments. Pandemic unemployment assistance is available to help unemployed Californians who are business owners, self-employed, independent contractors, have limited work history, or are otherwise not usually eligible for regular state unemployment insurance benefits. The Paycheck Protection Program is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on the payroll.
