Free bus rides proposal, draft vacation rental rules on agenda for Placer Supervisors meeting in Tahoe

A potential pilot program to offer free rides on TART buses in eastern Placer County and the first draft of new proposed regulations for vacation rentals are on the Placer County Board of Supervisors’ agenda for consideration at their meeting Oct. 22 in Kings Beach. Placer Empowering People puts smiles on faces, resources in hands of low-income residents

Interstate 80 truck lane project seeks to improve traffic

Placer County joined Caltrans and project partners to celebrate the completion of the Interstate 80 Truck Climbing Project near Colfax with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The project, which includes a new three-mile truck climbing lane located on Interstate 80, improves traffic flow and increases motorist safety on this stretch of highway between the Long Ravine Railroad Overcrossing and the Alpine Overcrossing. Take the "Creepy Clown Challenge"
