Placer proposes new rules to boost mix and supply of housing

Placer County’s population is growing and many residents pay more for housing than they can afford. New rules proposed by the county’s Community Development Resource Agency are aimed squarely at making sure Placer has the right amount and mix of housing to accommodate all of its residents. Interstate 80/state Route 65 interchange to open Saturday

The Placer County Transportation Planning Agency held a ribbon cutting ceremony Sept. 5 to mark the completion of the new interchange at state Route 65 and Interstate 80. The $50 million construction project is the product of a regional partnership. Check out this video of the ribbon cutting ceremony.


We’re looking for great new projects in North Lake Tahoe

Projects that promote tourism in North Lake Tahoe may have an opportunity to receive funding with Placer County’s 2019-20 Tourism Master Plan grant program. For those interested in learning more, Placer County and the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association will be hosting an informational workshop to review the program and application process on Sept. 10 at from 3-4 p.m. at 221 Fairway Drive in Tahoe City.
