Town hall meeting to tackle fire insurance questions

Placer County will host California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara for a community town hall Aug. 28 in Auburn on the fire insurance challenges facing many Placer residents. The event will start at 6 p.m. at Gold Country Fairgrounds’ Placer Hall. Learn more

2019 Tahoe Summit builds consensus for protecting Lake Tahoe

Climate change was the main topic of discussion at the 23rd annual Lake Tahoe Summit. More than 700 people attended the event in South Lake Tahoe and California Governor Gavin Newsom provided the keynote address. Placer County offered an information booth along with dozens of other organizations all committed to preserving the health of Lake Tahoe. Watch video
