New housing project approved for Alpine Meadows

The Alpine Sierra subdivision project in Alpine Meadows was approved Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors, adding 38 single-family homes with advanced wildfire protection measures. Read more

Big Day of Giving

The 7th annual Big Day of Giving is Thursday, May 2. The 24-hour giving event is sponsored by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation in partnership with local nonprofits. This year, 601 organizations are participating, including 94 in Placer County. In 2018, Big Day of Giving raised over $500,000 for Placer County organizations. Learn more
