Supervisor Jennifer Montgomery accepts governor's appointment

After more than 10 years of public service as an elected official, Placer County District 5 Supervisor Jennifer Montgomery is stepping down in order to accept an appointment by Governor Gavin Newsom as director of California's Forest Management Task Force. Read more


Placer County Parks and Trails Master Plan

You can provide feedback on our first-ever draft Placer County Parks and Trails Master Plan - online or at upcoming municipal advisory council meetings and public meetings near you. When complete the plan will provide a 10-year vision for the development and operation of parks, recreation opportunities, open space and trail networks in the county. Read more

The Placer County Charter is a governing document that guides the organizational structure, duties and responsibilities of the county’s elected and appointed officials. It’s up for review this year and the application period is now open to serve on the county’s Charter Review Committee. Learn more


Bowman Road bridges improvements

Census jobs opportunity

The U.S. Census Bureau is now recruiting qualified workers for a variety of temporary positions ahead of the 2020 census. The census, which happens every 10 years, determines representation in Congress and the division of federal funds at the local and state level. Public hearing for Placer County Government Center Master Plan Update, Whitehawk II subdivision projects

The proposed Placer County Government Center Master Plan Update and Whitehawk II subdivision projects will be considered by the Placer County Planning Commission in a public hearing March 14. The commission will be making a recommendation to the county Board of Supervisors for both projects. Learn more
