Voter information guides

In preparation for the March 26 special primary election, the Placer County Elections Office has distributed voter information guides to registered voters in California's 1st Senate District. Voters are encouraged to confirm their polling locations and participate early to avoid lines. Learn more


Restoring Sierra Nevada forest health

The Placer County Board of Supervisors this week moved forward a multi-agency partnership to clear underbrush, thin smaller trees, remove biomass to renewable energy facilities and reforest 30,000 acres of public and private land around the French Meadows Reservoir, located west of Lake Tahoe. Learn more


Roadway signage upgrades

This week, the Placer County Board of Supervisors approved a $1 million contract with Highway Specialty Company Inc. to upgrade roadway warning signage throughout the county. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin this spring and continue through the end of summer. Learn more

Child Support Services improves performance

Placer County Department of Child Support Services improved on their statewide performance statistics for a second consecutive year, ranking first among medium-sized counties and third overall out of 58 counties in California. Read more


Free accessibility compliance workshop
