@the Grounds renovations revealed

Placer County joined Placer Valley Tourism and many other regional partners May 1 to celebrate the completion of a $10 million renovation of the Placer County Fairgrounds, now known as @the Grounds. The project, a collaboration of Placer County and PVT, improves facilities across the property to better suit today's meetings space needs and restores many of @the Grounds' original, unique architectural features. See the improvements

Placer County Sheriff's Office fun run

Sheriff's fun run

The Placer County Sheriff's Office will present its inaugural North Auburn Community 5K Fun Run on May 12. Community members are invited to join in the family-friendly event launched in memory of Deputy Karen Johnson, who died in 2003 when she was struck by a vehicle while running. Funds raised will benefit Northern California Special Olympics athletes. Sign up today

Placer County’s Community Development Resource Agency in Tahoe City now offers a one-stop shop to customers requiring Tahoe Regional Planning Agency permits for certain commercial, visitor-serving (such as hotels) and mixed-use projects located in the Tahoe Basin. Read more
