 A look back at 2022
Since Peninsula Clean Energy was formed by 20 municipalities and the County of San Mateo back in 2016, we have reduced carbon emissions from electricity generation by 98% while saving our customers about $90M in electricity costs.
As 2022 comes to a close, we look back on some of this year’s key accomplishments. We added another community to the fold and began serving the City of Los Banos this past spring. We introduced interest-free loans for electrification upgrades and rebates for heat pump HVAC systems, completed a major energy storage procurement, and more. Read more in our latest article.

 Los Banos
In April 2022, Peninsula Clean Energy began serving customers in the City of Los Banos with clean electricity at lower costs. More than 92% of eligible utility customers have been enrolled.
