First public EV chargers installed through our EV Ready program
The City of San Mateo completed their first electric vehicle (EV) charging project on April 14th through our EV Ready Program. The project installed 13 Level 2 charging ports in the San Mateo Main Street Garage at 355 2nd Ave.
We provided free technical assistance to design the project and $65,000 in project incentives. The chargers are available for use today and open to the public!
Lyft electric vehicles are now on the road
A few months ago, we announced our partnership with Lyft on a pilot program to provide a rental incentive to ride-hailing drivers that would make the cost of renting an electric vehicle comparable to a gas-powered one.
Some of those electric vehicles are now on the road! We expect that this program will prevent 200,000 gallons of gasoline usage and save ride-hail drivers more than $750,000 in combined cost.
See an amazingly efficient heating and hot water system in action
You are invited to an open house in Daly City hosted by Harvest Thermal to see what may be the most energy efficient heating and hot water system in the market.
Harvest Thermal estimates that this system can reduce gas emissions from a home by over 90% and can reduce monthly utility bills by 40%. This system qualifies for incentives of at least $2,000!
You will meet and hear from Harvest Thermal’s co-founder and CEO Jane Melia, PhD about the savings and comfort this system provides.
Date: June 4 from 11am - 12pm Location: 56 Morton Drive, Daly City, CA 94015
Why did you receive a credit on your energy bill?
Every spring and fall, millions of California residents receive credits on their electric and natural gas bills identified as the “California Climate Credit” It is part of California’s efforts to fight climate change.
Last month, our customers received a $39.30 credit automatically applied to their electricity bill.
The credits come from a State program that requires power plants, natural gas distributors, and other large industries that emit greenhouse gases to buy carbon pollution permits from auctions. The credit on your electricity bill is your share of the payments from the State's program.
