$310K awarded to 11 non-profits
We awarded grants to local non-profits to increase outreach particularly to low-income and other underserved communities about bill savings and other benefits of clean power programs.
The grants – totaling $310,000 and ranging from $20,000 to $40,000 – support efforts spread throughout our served communities. Outreach will inform customers about income-qualified energy bill discounts and programs, electric vehicle rebates and home energy assistance.

4th-12th grade students: apply to the
Student Film Fest, win prizes!
Students who live or attend school in San Mateo County are invited to enter environmental videos in the 5th Annual CEC Student Film Fest, co-produced by the Citizens Environmental Council (CEC) and the Burlingame Environmental Club (BEC) of Burlingame High School and supported by Peninsula Clean Energy.
Students are invited to learn tips on creating videos at a free Film Workshop offered by volunteers in the BEC from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, via Zoom. Those who attend the workshop will later be given the opportunity to submit their video for feedback by the BEC in advance of formal submission to the competition.
Cash prizes of $150 will be awarded for each of the following categories: Elementary grades 4-5, Middle School grades 6-8, High School, and Overall Festival Winner

Masha supports customer service and business operations with quantitative analysis, including billing, carbon emissions, customer programs, and energy rates. She is passionate about the transition to clean energy and moved back to her home state after learning about CCAs and their efforts to transition California to renewable energy.

Building Electrification Programs Manager
Blake leads key building electrification initiatives including reach codes and electrification programs. Blake has been working in the green building space for 15 years. His work has included mechanical and plumbing design, energy modeling, LEED consulting, water efficiency, zero net energy buildings, portfolio energy retrofits.
