Small business bill credits


We recognize that many small businesses throughout San Mateo County have been struggling financially since shelter-in-place orders first began in March of this year. To support our local economic recovery, we are offering a $250 bill credit for qualifying small business customers in San Mateo County.

Starting Oct. 1st: rebates for first-time EV buyers


Are you in the market for a new car?

If you live in San Mateo County and purchase your first EV, we will offer you a $700 rebate for new plug-in hybrid electric vehicles or a $1,000 rebate for new all-battery electric vehicles.

This rebate is only available for eligible EVs purchased from October 1st through December 31st. Program details will be available on the Peninsula Clean Energy website on Oct. 1st.

$28 million for local electric vehicle charging infrastructure


We have launched our EV Ready Program with $28 million towards installing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at commercial workplaces, multi-family dwellings and other public locations. It is the largest EV charging infrastructure program tied to a single Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) agency. 

Through the EV Ready Program, we intend to install 3,500 charging ports in San Mateo County over the next four years. The effort includes $24 million in project incentives, $2 million towards free technical assistance for eligible properties and $1 million to support workforce development in the county.

Does your organization work with residents in San Mateo County? Harness the power of your existing communications, outreach, and services to help the environment and assist residents in saving money at the same time. We invite applicants to apply for grants up to $40,000 to collaborate with us on outreach to San Mateo County residents. Applications must be received by October 30, 2020.

Prepare for outages with rebates for solar and back-up battery systems


Our Power On Peninsula program helps residents maintain electricity when the grid is down. By fully participating in the grid storage program, you get backup power and reduce your energy costs while helping our community reach its goal of using 100% renewable energy.

With the incentives and rebates available, you may qualify for up to $1,250 in rebates to install solar and storage.
