$28 million for local electric vehicle charging infrastructure
We have launched our EV Ready Program with $28 million towards installing electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at commercial workplaces, multi-family dwellings and other public locations. It is the largest EV charging infrastructure program tied to a single Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) agency.
Through the EV Ready Program, we intend to install 3,500 charging ports in San Mateo County over the next four years. The effort includes $24 million in project incentives, $2 million towards free technical assistance for eligible properties and $1 million to support workforce development in the county.
