Discount on Heat Pumps
Rewiring America, an electrification nonprofit, announced the launch of their Heat Pump Access Program for San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties this week. The program offers homeowners a significant 20 percent discount on ducted and ductless heat pumps. Homeowners who sign up before November 14 can stack that discount with the 25C federal tax credit for additional savings.*
All interested homeowners residing in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties can apply. If your current AC or heating system is malfunctioning or running on borrowed time (10-15-year-old AC or a 15-20-year-old heating system is considered an aging unit), this deal could be your sign to upgrade to a single system that does both!
Here’s how interested homeowners can plug in:
1. Visit the webpage to learn more and connect with a contractor.
2. Join an info session:
3. See an electric home tour:
*While the RA 20 percent discount will remain through the new year, the federal tax credits expire on December 31, 2025, so installations must be completed by that date to receive the credit.

SVCE at Climate Week NYC
Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE) and SVCE received honorable mention from the Electric Innovation Awards at Climate Week NYC for their joint work supporting member agencies in adopting 32 reach codes that incentivize all-electric construction and support EV charging at multifamily properties.
The adopted electric reach codes led to the permitting of thousands of all-electric, pollution free homes; and EV charging for at least 5,000 families living in multifamily homes. Constructing these homes all-electric will reduce construction costs and save property owners roughly $100 million in retrofit costs.
