SVCE Funds Innovative Approaches to EV Charging
SVCE recently awarded $300K to three pilot solutions addressing barriers to electric vehicle (EV) charging at multifamily properties.
“Property managers looking to install chargers at multifamily properties may face barriers such as installation costs, complex stakeholder relationships, and billing challenges,” said SVCE CEO Monica Padilla. “The selected pilot projects aim to reduce these barriers, enabling local properties to meet the growing demand for EV charging.”
The SVCE Innovation Onramp, launched in 2019, fosters innovative solutions to climate change and decarbonization challenges in SVCE communities and beyond.

Community Corner: Cupertino and Mountain View
Cupertino invited attendees to play Cooper’s Clean Air Quest, a virtual reality game funded by an SVCE Community Grant. In the game, players join Cooper, a robot, in reducing one’s carbon footprint by switching gas appliances for electric equipment.
