Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) rebates and services are here to help you with your home and vehicle upgrades. However, thousands of dollars in federal tax credits for clean energy upgrades may expire at the end of this year (federal policy changes are being debated now in the Senate; we will do our best to keep our customers informed of final decisions).
Despite the potential changes to federal tax credits, SVCE rebates and services will remain available and can be combined with other incentives. If you’ve been considering an electric upgrade, now is a great time to learn how you can maximize your savings by stacking SVCE incentives with tax credits.

SVCE joined the City of Morgan Hill, community members and dignitaries to celebrate the brand-new, all-electric Butterfield Fire Station. The station received funding from the SVCE Community Grant Program, which aims to support clean, pollution-free energy resilience at critical community sites in our region. Few sites are more critical than fire stations. We are honored to have co-hosted the ribbon cutting with the City of Morgan Hill celebrating this clean energy and safety milestone. The Butterfield Fire Station will not only improve Morgan Hill's emergency response capabilities and public safety, but pollution-free electric equipment will keep the station's air clean for first responders. The cost-savings and resilience benefits of the solar and battery storage system make this station a significant achievement in advancing Morgan Hill's climate goals. Attendees at the ribbon cutting enjoyed formal remarks from city dignitaries, an induction cooking demonstration, and a station tour. In partnership with three local pet shelters, guests even had the opportunity to bring home a furry friend on California Adopt-a-Pet Day! The SVCE Community Grant Program contributed $500,000 to make the fire station the FIRST all-electric facility in Morgan Hill.

Summer Energy Efficiency + Savings
Energy costs are the highest from 4-9 p.m. Avoid using energy during this time by:
🔆 Lowering air conditioning thermostats to 72 degrees before 4 p.m. to precool your home
🔆 Between 4 - 9 p.m. set your thermostat to 78 degrees (health permitting), avoid charging your EV, and use of major appliances
🔆 Unplugging unused devices (like computers and kitchen appliances).
🔆 Use a fan when you can! They use less energy than air conditioning
