Silicon Valley Clean Energy Welcomes Scott Wrigglesworth as Director of Risk Management and Analytics  

Local energy provider expands senior leadership team with new director role  

Sunnyvale, Calif. – Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) recently selected Scott Wrigglesworth as Director of Risk Management and Analytics. In his role, Wrigglesworth will oversee risk management operations and collaborate with other departments to lead the organization’s quantitative analytics efforts.  

Wrigglesworth brings over five years of experience working with SVCE and other California Community Choice Aggregators (CCAs) in his previous position as Vice President of Operations and Strategy at Ascend Analytics. While at Ascend Analytics, Wrigglesworth led the PowerSIMM team responsible for power portfolio software modeling and consulting, personally specializing in risk management.   

“SVCE has benefitted from Scott's guidance for many years now,” adds Monica Padilla, CEO. “Scott’s experience in all aspects of risk management, resource valuation and portfolio planning and management will strengthen our operations thus enabling us to improve our customer offerings.” 

Prior to working at Ascend Analytics, Wrigglesworth spent 17 years at the Dayton Power & Light Company and AES Corporation, where he led portfolio analytics for utility, retail, and merchant generation portfolios.  

Wrigglesworth is also an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton, where he has been teaching Energy Markets for a decade.   

“It’s been a privilege to join the SVCE team, and I’m eager to contribute to our clean and reliable energy goals,” says Wrigglesworth. “My hope is that I can bring best practices to monitor and protect against continuously evolving market risks and contribute to SVCE helping to lead in the energy transition.” 

Scott holds an MBA from the University of Dayton and a degree in Global Economics from Cedarville University.
