Money Available to Make Electric Upgrades to Your Home
Since October 2022, SVCE customers have used the FutureFit Homes rebate program to upgrade to efficient, electric heat pump equipment. With over $2.8M in rebates already claimed, the Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) Board of Directors recently increased funding to expand the program's impact. This means more chances for you to upgrade your home with heat pump equipment. Plus, rebates will soon be expanded to include full-sized induction cooktops and ranges!
It's not just about saving money – it's about powering your home efficiently. Don't miss out on this opportunity to upgrade your home equipment with SVCE's FutureFit Homes rebate program.
SVCE rebates are stackable with other local, state, and federal rebates.

Clean Upgrades That Are Benefitting Your Community
Last August, SVCE and the Sunnyvale School District collaborated to upgrade and outfit Vargas Elementary School with 12 new electric heat pumps. The project utilized SVCE grant funding and serves as a model project for communities seeking a clean and healthy future.
Nearly 25% of harmful carbon emissions come from the use of gas for heating and cooling equipment like furnaces. The Sunnyvale School District used the grant funding as an opportunity to design a community-first project that prioritizes air quality, safety and efficiency.
The classroom isn’t the only place for learning! Check out the SVCE eHub and learn how you can take advantage of rebates and incentives to go electric.

DIY Home Energy Toolkit Available at Local Libraries
SVCE customers can find premium home energy saving tools and sweepstakes items valued up to $230 when they check out a DIY Home Energy Saving Toolkit from their local library.
This month, SVCE released new, premium energy-saving devices into the Toolkits, like smart power strips and smart LED light bulbs.
The DIY Toolkit is a free resource for renters and homeowners to maximize their energy savings. Each Toolkit includes tools to help locate sources of energy waste, and items like weather stripping and outlet insultation, to increase your home’s efficiency.
But wait, there’s more! As part of the new DIY Toolkit Sweepstakes, customers can enter to win big-ticket items like a smart electric tower fan or a portable induction cooktop. Simply post a photo of an energy-saving tool and tag @svcleanenergy on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or X. The tool can be any device that saves energy—rented or owned!

Cheaper EV Charging With GridShift
The SVCE GridShift: EV Charging app is a free mobile app that helps you optimize your electric vehicle (EV) charging at home to use cheaper, cleaner energy on the grid.
Why should I use GridShift?
-
$50 one-time sign-up bonus. When you download the free GridShift app and smart charge your EV, you can earn a one-time $50 bill credit.
-
Get a cleaner charge. SVCE customers already get clean electricity, but when you charge your EV still matters! Charging during peak times and increasing electricity demand can result in a “dirtier” charge because back up power plants come online to support the state-wide demand. Allowing GridShift to automate your charge based on your electricity rate and the amount of renewables on the grid further reduces state-wide emissions!
-
Save $100 or more per year. You can save $100 or more per year by using GridShift to sync to your electricity rate and automatically charge your vehicle when your energy is cheapest. Plus, you can earn bill credits by participating in seasonal events and referring friends to the app!
-
‘Set it and forget it’. Set your ‘ready by’ time, plug your car in and the app takes care of the rest. The smart scheduling feature allows drivers to schedule charging a week in advance.
