You Can Earn $5 Monthly Bill Credits and Reduce Your Bill with GridShift: EV Charging
The SVCE GridShift app can help you maximize your at-home EV charging! GridShift syncs your EV charging with your Time-of-Use or EV electricity rate and the California grid to charge your EV with cheaper, cleaner electricity. Beginning this month, GridShift users* can participate in ‘Low-Carbon Events’ to earn bill credits – up to $5 when you participate each month, participate every month and earn $35 in credits!
|
|
What are Low-Carbon Events? Low-Carbon Events are designed to further shift EV charging toward off-peak daytime hours when renewable energy is abundant on the grid. During these times, users will receive a notification with the charging window and are eligible to plug in, charge with especially low-carbon energy, and earn a reward point. Each month, users can earn a $5 bill credit by accumulating at least 5 reward points.

SVCE is partnering with EVmatch, a local EV charging software company, to install EV chargers at multi-unit residential properties and connect available EV charging station hosts with EV drivers on a reservation basis.
Properties are eligible for up to six free Level 2 charging stations, free EVmatch software management subscriptions for five years, and up to $5,000 per charger for installation material and labor. Properties are required to offer public access to charging stations during some hours.

The Wind Project that is Helping to Power Your Holiday Lights
In July, SVCE joined Central Coast Community Energy to celebrate the repowered ‘Mountain View’ Wind Project developed by The AES Corporation. SVCE receives 33 megawatts of clean electricity from this project, enough energy to power 23,000 SVCE homes and businesses annually. The electricity provided from the project helps SVCE customers to avoid 53,000 metric tons of CO2 each year. Learn more about the project benefits in the video below.
