Make Your Home More Energy Resilient
Extreme weather events can lead to possible power outages; be prepared by pairing your home solar with battery storage and have access to electricity when you need it. As a customer of Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE), you can learn more and receive incentives for your own home solar and battery storage system. Visit the Solar+Battery Assistant to connect with an energy advisor and receive multiple no-obligation quotes from local installers.
If you are not ready for whole-house energy storage, be energy resilient with a portable battery at the Appliances Assistant and get $50 back. These devices are silent, emissions-free and can safely be used indoors to power small appliances and electronics during an outage.

Be Ready for Flex Alerts this Summer
When summer heat and extreme weather events arise, the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) - the organization that manages the electric grid, may issue a Flex Alert. A Flex Alert is a voluntary call for energy conservation and typically occurs in the evening hours when consumers are returning home and switching on air conditioners, lights, and appliances.
Shifting your energy use to the morning and early afternoon hours can help prevent energy shortages. Sign up to receive Flex Alert notifications directly from CAISO to know when energy conservation is needed and learn how to conserve energy during these times.

Last Call to Participate in NeoCharge Pilot Program
Interested in charging your EV or installing an electric appliance at home? NeoCharge is offering a pilot through the SVCE Innovation Onramp program to advance home electrification. The NeoCharge Smart Splitter is a low-cost technology helping people access EV charging and add large electric appliances without requiring expensive electrical panel upgrades, a solution that is particularly relevant to renters or owners of older homes.
With the Smart Splitter, users can share a single, existing 240V outlet in their home to power two large electric loads, such as EV chargers, clothes dryers, and water heaters. The Smart Splitter is UL listed and has intelligent sensing that automatically switches between two devices, so customers don’t need to worry about power switching. NeoCharge is seeking SVCE customers to purchase and provide feedback on the Smart Splitter. Eligible participants will receive up to a $175 discount on the device through the end of August.
NeoCharge has already received positive feedback from participating SVCE customers on their home electrification project and how the smart splitter helped them save thousands by avoiding a panel upgrade. If you are interested in participating in the pilot, please sign up and NeoCharge will get in touch with you!
