A portable induction cooktop is the perfect gift for the chef in your family. An induction cooktop provides precision and ease in the kitchen and does not release harmful indoor pollution, unlike emissions from gas stoves. With many affordable, single-burner, portable induction cooktops on the market, you can give the gift of clean cooking this holiday season; plus, as an SVCE customer, you can receive $50 off when shopping through the Appliances Assistant.
- A smart power strip is a great stocking stuffer and an energy-saving gift for anyone with lots of electronic devices plugged in. Regular outlets and power strips will allow devices to continually pull electricity, even when the electricity is not being used, smart power strips detect when a device or appliance is off or in standby mode and cuts off the power supply, saving energy and money! Shop on Appliances Assistant and receive $15 off.
- Light up with LEDs! LED light bulbs are not only less expensive to use, but they are safer for the home and last longer than standard incandescent bulbs. LED light bulbs are a practical gift for anyone on your list! Receive instant rewards when you shop for LED light bulbs on the Appliances Assistant.

While the holidays look different this year in many ways, the smell of a fresh pine tree still sparks a festive feeling and supports local businesses. Battaglia Ranch Tree Farm is located in San Martin, CA and has been family-owned since 1967. Last year, SVCE had the opportunity to visit their tree lot and talk to the owner, Ed Battaglia, about the clean electricity that powers their ranch. Ed wants to see what is happening locally have a global influence. Ed reflects, “I remember back in the 50’s and 60’s you could see gray all over as the pollution was so bad. But now the air has cleaned up considerably, I have noticed, and clean energy is important [for that].”
Read more or visit the Battaglia website for information.
