Join me tomorrow at the Board of Supervisors meeting
Dear Neighbor,
Tomorrow, June 9, is an important day for our district.
It’s the Board’s budget hearing where we determine the funding for County agencies in the fiscal year 2026/27. It’s also a time when we vote on what happens to $3.7 million that my predecessor Andrew Do stole from the First District.
The money was taken from federal funds meant to support seniors, families, nonprofits, and mental health services. Some supervisors are already pushing to redirect these funds away from us entirely. This means the community that was victimized by Andrew Do would be left with nothing — again.
Every other district used their equivalent funds to invest in their own communities while we got nothing. I’m fighting for a full return of these funds to our community and you can help. Please send a letter today to the Board at this link
I’d also love to see all of you at the Board meeting, where you have a few minutes to make your voice heard on this issue.
Orange County Hall of Administration 400 W. Civic Center Dr., Santa Ana Free parking at 630 N. Broadway Meeting begins at 9:30 a.m., please arrive early.
With gratitude,
JANET NGUYEN Supervisor, First District Orange County Board of Supervisors
