Dear Friends and Neighbors:
I want to thank our District 2 residents that have opened their homes to host family, friends, neighbors, and even pets, evacuated as a result of the chemical leak in Garden Grove.
Although our district is not directly impacted, many of you have shown your humanity during this difficult time, and I thank you on behalf of all our Orange County family.
The incident remains fluid and is being managed by our agencies in unified commandand and Evacuation orders remain in effect, We ask for the community to be aware of the incident and if you are in the area and have not evacuated we implore you to do so immediately.
Please stay safe by following the directions of the fire personnel and if you need to be in the area, we ask that you follow law enforcement directions as there are traffic disruptions.
At there is no timeline for residents to be able to return to their homes – depending on the developments this could be a prolonged response to ensure the safety of the public. We know the situation is a real hardship for the families evacuated - but the safety of residents in the area is the most important thing as the incident unfolds,
Please stay aware and safe, and if you do not need to be in the area, we ask that you stay away to ensure public safety personnel can do their work.

Quiero agradecer a nuestros residentes del Distrito 2 que han abierto sus hogares para recibir a familiares, amigos, vecinos e incluso mascotas, evacuados como resultado de la fuga química en Garden Grove.
