You’re invited to special County events next week
Dear Neighbor,
Next week will be a busy time at the County of Orange with two fun events and you are invited.
On Dec. 9, the Board of Supervisors will be hosting our third annual Orange County Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Awardees were selected from each district and will attend (or their selected representatives) to receive their awards.
I nominated filmmaker and legendary surfer Robert August, who created the iconic “Endless Summer” movie; along with well-known philanthropist Ed Laird, who has been engaged in civic and community affairs for half a century. Our most famous honoree will be Oscar winning director James Cameron, who produced the film “Titanic.”
See the graphic below for event details and a map.
Then the following day, Dec. 10, the Board of Supervisors will be hosting its annual Open House. This is one of my favorite events because my staff and I get to meet all of you and showcase our office. We’ll have plenty of food and photo opportunities at our special Christmas set. See the flier below.
I hope you can come out to one or both of these events, see you there!
I invite you to join me and my First District team for our Holiday Open House on Dec. 10 at the County Hall of Administration North building, in Santa Ana. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit our office, meet the team that serves you, and celebrate our first full year on the Board of Supervisors.
Warm regards,
JANET NGUYEN
Supervisor, First District Orange County Board of Supervisors
