Orange County’s Strategic Financial Plan (SFP) process is now underway, and your input is more important than ever.
This coming year, we face an uncertain economic climate and potential disruptions to funding for County programs administered on behalf of the state and federal governments.
The County’s budget process begins with the development of the SFP, which includes a five-year revenue and expense forecast, along with the identification of strategic priorities and emerging initiatives.
I welcome your thoughts on what should be the County’s top priorities, and which services or programs must be protected if budget reductions become necessary. Please note that the County of Orange has jurisdiction only over county-related programs, properties, and initiatives, and does not oversee city-level services or programs.
