The City of Ontario received over 560 submissions from Ontario's students in grades K-6th for the annual Water Conservation Poster Contest. Three winners were selected from each grade. All the winners were recognized at a ceremony on April 17, 2025.

Smart Irrigation Month
July is smart irrigation month! Here are some tips to ensure your sprinklers are running efficiently:
Run your sprinklers for an entire cycle to ensure there is minimal runoff. Make adjustments to the run time to reduce water runoff.
Check for any broken sprinkler heads and replace as necessary.
Remove excess vegetation that may be blocking the sprinkler heads.
