Modern Quilts: Redesigning Traditions

Explore a juried selection of 40+ modern quilters from the U.S.A. and abroad as they consider traditional patterns in new and exciting ways. Modern Quilts is organized by Guest Curator and Modern Quilter Georganna Hawley.

Highlights from the Collection: Ontario Rotary Police Museum

Join the Ontario Museum of History & Art’s Curator of Collections Michelle Sifuentes and the Ontario Rotary Police Museum to learn about the history of the Ontario Police Department. Music of Ontario: Bethel Congregational Church Trio

The historic Bethel Congregational United Church of Christ, located in downtown Ontario, regularly hosts the Southland Symphony Orchestra. Join us for a musical afternoon as the Museum highlights a trio of these local musicians. Free Admission. Reservations Required.

Lecture and Trunk Show - Modern Quilting: Past, Present and Future

Learn about the tradition of modern quilting, how it originated, where it is now, and what the future may hold, with presenter Latifah Saafir. The trunk show by Ms. Saafir will include a display of quilts. Free Admission. Reservations Required.


Chinese Calligraphy Workshop

Thursday, January 19, 2017 (6 PM to 8 PM) 

Celebrate Lunar New Year and the year of the Rooster through a Chinese calligraphy workshop with artist Tom Chow.  All ages are welcome! Materials will be provided. Free Admission. Reservations Required.

Art for Living and Living for Art: The Common Core and Arts Integration

Learn how you can bring your lesson plans to life by integrating an upcoming exhibit on the commercial work and creative process of renowned artists Millard Sheets, Tony Sheets, and Rick Caughman. Gallery Guide Training: Art for Living and Living for Art

Join the Museum’s team of volunteer Gallery Guides. The Sheets, Sheets and Caughman: Art for Living and Living for Art exhibit needs Gallery Guides to engage visitors on Saturday afternoons.
