The Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) Headquarters has earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. This distinction recognizes buildings that meet rigorous standards for water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and energy performance.
Completed in spring of 2024, the building brings together more than 300 employees in a modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible space. The facility uses eco-friendly materials such as mass timber and exposed steel framing, harnesses hot water from Reclamation Plant No. 1 for heating and delivers net-zero energy performance.
Earning LEED Gold certification demonstrates OC San’s leadership in sustainable infrastructure and reinforces its commitment to protecting public health and the environment while delivering lasting value to the community.
