OC San invites community leaders and engaged residents to participate in the Wastewater 101 - Citizens Academy, a four-session virtual program offering a comprehensive overview of OC San’s essential services. This unique program offers an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how OC San protects public health and the environment for 2.6 million residents in central and northwest Orange County.
Over four interactive workshops, you'll connect with OC San’s experts to explore:
- Who We Are and What We Do
- Protecting Our Environment: Fundamentals of Environmental Services
- OC San: The Nuts and Bolts
- Building for the Future: Capital Improvement Program and Our People
Workshops are held every other Tuesday at 6 p.m., starting September 2. The Academy concludes with an in-person tour of our reclamation plant on October 18, and graduation at our Board Meeting on October 22.
This is a great opportunity for civic leaders, community advocates, and those who influence public conversation to better understand the infrastructure and innovation behind OC San’s essential work.
The Academy is free and open to individuals 18 and older.
