On July 1, OC San launched the second year of its two-year budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 – reinforcing our commitment to public health, environmental protection, and regional resilience. The operating and capital improvement budget was approved at $500.6 million, a 3.7 percent decrease from what was originally approved last year. The slight decrease is attributed to a decrease in the capital improvement budget.
This budget serves as a strategic guide for daily operations, long-term planning, and infrastructure investments. Every dollar supports our mission while upholding OC San's role as a trusted steward of public resources and a leader in sustainable wastewater management.
Key highlights include:
-
Operational Excellence: Ensuring reliable, 24/7 service that safeguards public health and supports economic vitality.
-
Capital Investments: Funding innovative infrastructure projects that strengthen system capacity, climate resilience, and regulatory compliance.
-
Financial Stewardship: Maintaining strong credit ratings and fiscal discipline to protect ratepayer interests.
More than a financial plan, this budget is a public commitment to transparency, sustainability, and service excellence to our customers.
