OC San’s Wastewater 101 - Citizens Academy is back for another session. The Academy will showcase the ins and outs of operating and maintaining one of the largest regional wastewater treatment facilities. This spring, you can learn how OC San safely collects, treats, recycles, and disposes of the wastewater generated by 2.6 million people in central and northwest Orange County.
This Academy breaks it all down in four workshops allowing the participants to walk away with a better understanding of what we do, how we do it, and why we do it.
Each workshop is virtual and led by an OC San resident expert. The topics include:
- Who We Are and What We Do
- OC San the Nuts and Bolts
- Building for the Future: OC San’s Capital Improvement Program and Our People
- Protecting Our Environment: Fundamentals of Environmental Services
Workshops are held every other Thursday at 6 p.m. starting March 6, graduation at our Board Meeting on April 23, and conclude with a Plant tour on April 26. The Academy is free and available to anybody 18 years and older.
