Plan Bay Area 2050+ — the Bay Area’s long-range plan for transportation, housing, economic resiliency and environmental sustainability — was adopted unanimously by the ABAG Executive Board and Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). The votes by both boards cap a nearly three-year process during which over 17,600 Bay Area residents, community organizations, advocacy groups and public sector partners contributed to the development of the new plan, which ABAG and MTC are required to develop jointly.

BAHFA Events & Updates
April 13 Webinar on Strategic Plan
The Bay Area Housing Finance Authority (BAHFA) launched a strategic planning process in 2025 to articulate a vision for sustaining BAHFA. The process was structured around four modules:
- Module 1: Regional Revenue Measure
- Module 2: Funding Strategy and Financial Sustainability Plan
- Module 3: New Regional Financing Products and Approaches
- Module 4: Regional Housing Programs
The planning process is complete. The new strategic plan prioritizes a narrower set of programs that leverage BAHFA’s regional scope to maximize impact while also charting a path to financial independence. Learn more about the strategic plan and upcoming engagement opportunities from BAHFA staff at a webinar on Monday, April 13 from 10-11 a.m.
