MTC   Bay Bridge Steel Morphs Into Baseball Trophy
NBC Sports Bay Area recently unveiled “The Bridge,” the official trophy to be presented to the winner of the Bay Bridge Series, starting with the of 2018 season. The annual cross-bay baseball competition pits the SF-based Giants against the Oakland-based A’s. The trophy is made with steel salvaged from the original East Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. MORE
 
 
MTC   Seeking Feedback on Congestion & Environmental Performance Targets
MTC is seeking feedback from partners, stakeholders and the public on three performance targets related to congestion reduction and environmental sustainability. MTC is setting the targets in response to requirements from the Federal Highway Administration. Give your input on the targets by April 17. MORE

MTC   Video: Transbay Transit Center’s Floor Blooms With Art
MTC video journalist Mark Jones went behind the scenes at the construction zone for San Francisco’s expansive new downtown Transit Center to capture the delicate process of creating the facility’s terrazzo floor, one of four marquee art projects at the transit hub. The floor will welcome visitors into a warm environment that evokes a lush sunlit Victorian garden, with design elements like California poppies and jewel-toned hummingbirds. MORE

MTC   Bay Area Opportunity Zones
This month’s Map of the Month highlights Bay Area Opportunity Zones as designated by the State of California Department of Finance. These zones have poverty rates above 20 percent or median family income below 80 percent of either the statewide or metropolitan area income. Within the Bay Area, 530 tracts were eligible, of which 107 were designated by the governor. MORE
