MORE       Bay Bridge Steel Morphs Into Baseball Trophy NBC Sports Bay Area recently unveiled “The Bridge,” the official trophy to be presented to the winner of the Bay Bridge Series, starting with the of 2018 season. The annual cross-bay baseball competition pits the SF-based Giants against the Oakland-based A’s. The trophy is made with steel salvaged from the original East Span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. The floor will welcome visitors into a warm environment that evokes a lush sunlit Victorian garden, with design elements like California poppies and jewel-toned hummingbirds. MORE     Map of the Month       Bay Area Opportunity Zones This month’s Map of the Month highlights Bay Area Opportunity Zones as designated by the State of California Department of Finance. These zones have poverty rates above 20 percent or median family income below 80 percent of either the statewide or metropolitan area income.
