CITY OF MOUNTAIN VIEW

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING COMMISSION

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Mountain View Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers, Second Floor, Mountain View Civic Center, 500 Castro Street, at which time all interested parties may be heard regarding the following project:  

Housing Element Program 1.1(g): Zoning and General Plan Amendments

The EPC will consider General Plan amendments, text amendments to Chapter 36 (Zoning) of the City Code, and amendments to the Precise Plan. These amendments would rezone the following sites to allow multifamily residential uses:

 

• 830, 829-835, 850, 859-861, 870, 889, and 897-899 Leong Drive, and 3 and 55 Fairchild Drive (west end of Evandale Precise Plan) 
• 1702-1704 Miramonte Avenue  
• 777 Cuesta Drive  
• 1949 Grant Road  
• 677-699 Calderon Avenue  
• 410-750 West Evelyn Avenue (Mountain View Transit Center)  

These amendments implement Program 1.1(g) of the City’s 2023-2031 Housing Element. This project includes other minor clean-up amendments necessary to implement State law, including reductions to required parking near major transit stops and requirements for avigation easements. The project falls within the scope of the Program EIR for the City of Mountain View Housing Element Update, consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Sections 15162 and 15168.
