Hello -
This past Memorial Day, we paused to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. It was a privilege to spend time with so many veterans and military families at the annual Marin County Veterans’ Council ceremony.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Spring Into Community events. My team and I really enjoyed the Congregate Meal lunch at the Margaret Todd Senior Center earlier this month. If you are unfamiliar with the program, it is a great opportunity for older adults to enjoy a nutritious meal in a fun, social setting.
We have one final event coming up for our 2025 season and we hope to see you there!

Last week our Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a balanced $865.8 million budget for 2025-26, reflecting a 6% increase from last year while maintaining service levels amid uncertain state and federal funding.
Developed with public input during workshops in February and three days of hearings earlier this month, the budget reflects community-prioritized initiatives:
- Increasing affordable housing and addressing homelessness
- Building a racially equitable community
- Reducing carbon emissions and adapting to climate change
- Enhancing disaster and emergency preparedness
- Investing in county infrastructure
- Improving community & economic vitality
As part of budget process, our Board also approved the restructuring of the Office of the County Executive (OCE) to strengthen the county’s ability to tackle challenges such as climate change, sea level rise, and improved municipal and digital services. The changes will ensure better support for the community and more effective operations moving forward.
Learn more about the county budget on the OCE website.
