Dear District 4 Community,
As we embrace the colors and cool breezes of fall, I wanted to take a moment to connect with all of you and share some important updates, initiatives, and ways you can get involved in local government to keep you up to date and involved.
I have had the opportunity to start off our fall Community Conversations in the Canal, San Geronimo Valley, and Point Reyes Station. These conversations are an important way for me to share information about what is happening at the County level, to address your concerns and hear your ideas. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our community meetings! Your presence and participation made a real difference.
While the demographics and challenges of District 4 are different, there is a consistent theme, concerns about housing. I am committed to addressing these challenges and working with our community, land trusts, and partners to ensure housing is available to our most vulnerable community members, and we are protecting residential housing and advancing affordable housing.
I look forward to additional community conversations in the coming months and new year. I encourage you to stay involved and informed. Subscribe to my regular updates via email or follow my social media channels to get the latest news and announcements. Your voice is important, and I want to ensure that you feel represented and heard.
P.S. We are still in fire season and storm season is right around the corner. My staff keeps our District 4 website up to date with resources and information. Be sure to bookmark our page to access resources and information in one place at www.marincounty.gov/departments/board/district-4

The Board of Supervisors has received extensive public feedback regarding the language in the Housing Element related to community plans. Thank you to everyone engaged in this process and sharing your thoughts and feedback.
On October 21, the Planning Commission received an update from Sarah Jones, Director of the Community Development Agency (CDA), that the CDA will bring this item to the Board of Supervisors on October 29th.
The CDA will bring forward the Planning Commission’s recommendation, as well as Option C, for consideration to balance the Planning Commission, the court order, and the State of California Housing and Community Development Agency’s feedback.
Watch the Planning Commission proceedings online for more information.

Marin Couty District 4 Team
Supervisor Rodoni, elected in 2016, and re-elected in March 2024, represents the residents of District 4 in the County of Marin. District 4 is the most geographically diverse district in the county, including coastal West Marin from Dillon Beach to Muir Beach and Homestead Valley; inland agricultural and rural areas of Nicasio, Chileno Valley, San Geronimo Valley, and west Novato; and bayside and urban areas of east San Rafael, San Quentin, Corte Madera, and Larkspur. Supervisor Rodoni is one of five Supervisors responsible for the function of county government, serving as the governing board of the County Free Library and of many special districts such as Parks & Open Space District, Transit District, and the Housing Authority. The Board passes all ordinances governing the county and is responsible for seeing that mandated functions are properly discharged.
