Dear Friends,
I'd like to make you aware of an upcoming opportunity in Novato. Several Marin County Departments collaborate to offer Clean Slate Program walk-in clinics for residents. Probation, Public Defender, Health and Human Services, and the District Attorney's Office join community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide community members with services in one centralized location.
An individual can expect the following at a Clean Slate Event:
-
Public Defender's Office assists community members with sealing and expunging their historical criminal convictions or arrests, provides drop-in immigration advice, and assists residents with issues affecting their driver's licenses.
- Probation assists community members with terminating probation early and enrolling in job-training courses.
- Health and Human Services enrolls individuals in CalWORKs, Cal-Fresh, Medi-Cal, employment training, and general relief for families.
- Various CBOs bring their expertise to this multiagency event: Legal Aid of Marin, Canal Alliance, Ritter Center, Downtown Streets Team, and many others.
Clean Slate Program at North Marin Community Services Thursday, October 5 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM 1907 Novato Blvd, Novato
Please share this information with anyone you think may benefit.
