Dear Friends,

Last weekend, there was an appalling, hate-filled antisemitic demonstration near Downtown Novato.

I made comments denouncing this demonstration at the Board of Supervisor's Meeting yesterday during Board Matters (item 4), as it is important to immediately call out these acts for what they are – hate. They have no place in Novato or Marin County.

I stand united with the City of Novato and the entire City Council in condemning any hate speech in our community. I have shared their statement below.

The lessons of history are clear: ending hate and antisemitism requires all of us to step up and speak up. I appreciated the quick reactions from the city, elected leaders, and community members – illustrating Novato’s commitment to root out hate.

Let's continue to come together to stop hate and build a safe, inclusive community for all.
