Encouraging Mixed-Use Development

A new mixed-use development at North Walnut Avenue and Davis Street is currently in the planning pipeline. This proposal paves the way for more commercial mixed-use housing development in the City of Manteca.
The project is a 3-story mixed-use development containing 24 apartment units with office space on the second floor and a 1,900sf neighborhood market on the ground floor. The complex is designed in such a way as to maximize foot traffic to the market by placing parking off of the street and behind the complex. The market doors will be close to the street and corner, allowing easy access to not only apartment residents but local community members as well.
Developments like this have positive impacts on the local economy for commercial leases and sales tax generation. Mixed-use developments like this could be the start of a new trend that continues to boost Manteca's economic development.
