SR 120 McKinley Interchange Work Continues

 Construction on the SR 120 McKinley Interchange was delayed by storms, however, significant progress was made in late April and May. The team continued structural excavations, ground anchor installation, and soil nail installation on the planned undercrossing retaining wall. They also continued embankment construction for the on and off ramps.
The new interchange will have a significant economic impact because it will allow for the continued development of not only the Family Entertainment Zone, but adjacent commercial properties. This in turn will increase access to future sales tax and property tax the City can collect for the general fund. It will also reduce traffic congestion at the existing Airport Interchange and create better traffic movement for the area as a whole.
