This project has been in the planning process for more than ten years and is a key component in traffic relief in both the FEZ and other developments of over 1,000 acres of adjacent land that is planned for mixed commercial, industrial, and residential development.
McKinley Avenue is proposed to be widened to six lanes passing underneath the existing structures. This will reduce congestion on the local roadway network and other regional arterials.
