Utility Box Beautification Project- Submit By March 31
Help transform Manhattan Beach! The Cultural Arts Commission invites local artists to participate in Phase III of our Utility Box Beautification Project. Selected artwork will be showcased on utility boxes throughout the city, creating vibrant public art that enhances our community. Open to South Bay Beach Cities residents, with a special youth category for artists 17 and under. Selected artists receive a stipend.
Deadline: March 31
Youth Category: Ages 17 and under (or 18 with proof of high school enrollment)

Polliwog Park Dog Run
Planned upgrades for spring 2025 include the addition of 1,350 square feet to the Dog Run footprint, new perimeter fencing, new dual drinking fountain and trash receptacles, updated concrete pads and benches, irrigation relocation, lighting, and landscaping.
The Dog Run will be closed from March 31 - April 30 and will reopen on May 1.

Ceramics Clay Veneer Workshop
Join us for a hands-on Ceramics Clay Veneer Workshop with Lowell Nickel! In this 1 day workshop, you will be actively utilizing color clay inlay, similar to the Japanese Nerikomi.
This is a process of using colored clays that have been marbled, cross cut, and then laminated ( a veneer) onto prepared slabs for hand building or wheel throwing.
Demonstrations and technical advice will be included. This technique is versatile, very decorative, colorful and very fun to do!
Prerequisite of recent enrollment in studio classes or currently enrolled in studio classes.
